We’re taking a trip to St. Louis for this month’s challenge recipe. That’s right: We’re making the city’s signature Gooey Butter Cake. Even if you’re not from the Show-Me State, you’re going to enjoy this treat.
While the name of this bake says “cake,” think of this bake more like a bar. It starts with a decadent buttery crust and gets topped off with a cream cheese mix. Think of Gooey Butter Cake as a blondie meets a lemon bar. But you should just try it for yourself (you will not regret it!).
