How Do I Make This Cocktail?
This drink is a breeze to make if you have the ingredients, so it’s the perfect cocktail to practice for budding mixologists. All you need are candy canes, a tub of vanilla frosting, a glass tumbler and a bottle of RumChata and Smirnoff Peppermint Twist. If you’re unfamiliar with RumChata, you’ll want to become acquainted because it’s the ultimate blend of rum and horchata into a creamy liqueur flavored with cinnamon and vanilla.
First, crush the candy canes and place the shards on a plate or other flat surface. Then, you rim the glass with the vanilla frosting (melted white chocolate also works great) and roll the top of the glass into the crushed candy cane bits, making sure they adhere to the sticky-sweet coating. Finally, you fill the glass up with ice and then pour in a mixture of half RumChata and half peppermint Smirnoff. That’s it—drink up!
Get More from Your Liquor Cabinet
If you want a real shortcut, you can always pick up a bottle of Peppermint Bark RumChata for an instant cocktail. And if you can’t stand buying bottles of liquor just to have them gather dust on a shelf, we have a few delicious suggestions for using up your RumChata. Why not make a RumChata cheesecake or one of these alcoholic desserts? Your boozy side and your sweet tooth will thank you!
