4-Ingredient Cool Whip Cookies Put Other Easy Recipes to Shame

Sometimes you just want to make a sweet treat without all of the fuss. That’s where viral TikTok recipes come in! They’re wildly popular for a good reason—most are easy and foolproof. One of the latest recipes taking the online world by storm is for Cool Whip cookies—and the best part is they only require four ingredients!

How to Make Cool Whip Cookies

You may have seen this recipe floating around, and TikTok user @athomewithshannon was one of the first to make it. To get started, you need a standard 8-ounce container of Cool Whip, one box of devil’s food cake mix, one egg and enough powdered sugar for dipping.

In a mixing bowl, combine the Cool Whip, cake mix and the egg. Then take spoonfuls of the fluffy mixture and roll them in powdered sugar so they’re well-coated. Place each one on a baking sheet. Now, the cookies go into a 350°oven for 13-20 minutes, depending on how big you made the balls of “dough.” Feel free to dust the cooled cookies with extra powdered sugar for a added sweetness and visual interest.

If you don’t have Cool Whip on hand, you can use this whipped topping substitute instead.

Variations on this recipe could involve using different cake mixes, especially if you’re not a chocolate fanatic. We vote for swapping in orange cake mix, trying a version using spice cake or everyone’s favorite, Funfetti!
