One night, my husband had some friends over to play poker and he requested these s'mores bars. They polished off the pan and asked for more! I shared the recipe, and now their families make them, too. —Rebecca Shipp, Beebe, Arkansas
Chocolaty S'mores Bars Recipe photo by Taste of Home
In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows; cook and stir until blended. Remove from heat. Stir in cereal until coated.
Press into a greased 13x9-in. pan using a buttered spatula. Drizzle with melted chocolate. Cool completely before cutting. Store in an airtight container.
Test Kitchen Tips
Use a butter wrapper to press the cereal into the pan.
For a rich twist on a classic, add 1/4 cup of peanut butter to the marshmallows and stir a handful of chopped peanuts into the cereal.
Make a s'more s'more (and lots of friends) by using one of these bars (halved lengthwise) instead of the graham cracker used in a traditional s'more. Yes, we went there.

I made Chocolaty S’Mores Bars today and everyone liked them. Instead of drizzling with melted chocolate, I stirred in 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips right before I put everything in the 13”X9” pan, which saved a step. I plan to make these for an October bake sale at my church.

Thanks for sharing! Great recipe for summer months especially! Quick & tasty, large family enjoyed them this weekend! I only had semi-sweet chocolate chips, but they worked just fine. Thanks again!

I've been making these forever.....the recipe was on the Golden Grahams cereal box for years. Now, you can find the recipe on the General Mills website. I'm from Minnesota, and they are a hometown company! Lots of great recipes and coupons on their site, as they make MANY foods that you probably purchase regularly! :-)

These are great and easy to make. I make them often. I made a triple batch for a very classy event and they disappeared so rapidly it was amazing. Here we all were in our elegant clothes eating S'more. Great recipe to make and keep to make again and again.
