This luscious dessert offers the comfort of a cobbler with the unexpected combination of mangos and blueberries, made complete with the inviting flavors--and antioxidant powers--of cinnamon and ginger.
"We love the combination of fruit as well as the ease of preparation for this dessert," shares Carmen Edwards of Midland, Texas. "Sometimes I double the recipe and serve it to guests. Everyone is always happy when they arrive at my house to find these comforting cobblers waiting for them."
"I find it's challenging to make dessert for just the two of us-because we don't want lots of leftovers," shares Lee Bremson of Kansas City, Missouri. "But this dish works well. I usually serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top."
The "ABC" in this recipe's name comes from the apple, blueberries and cranberries it uses. The other part refers to the way the dumplings "slump" during cooking - presumably the sound made by the fruit as it bubbles on the stove.
I've take my slump to work, picnics and church carry-ins. No matter where, the result is the same...all that I ever bring home is the empty dish.

This sweet-tart treat has an extra-crispy topping, thanks to the addition of cornflakes. Orange juice and orange peel accent the blueberry-raspberry flavor. —Bernadette Beaton, Goose River, Prince Edward Island
It never occurred to me that I could bake a cobbler in my slow cooker until I saw some recipes and decided to try my favorite fruity dessert recipe. It took a bit of experimenting, but the tasty results are "berry" well worth it.

Recalls Mary Ann Dell in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania: "A friend brought this delicious, down-home dessert to church and was kind enough to give out the recipe. Everyone enjoyed it so much and just showered her with compliments! It’s especially wonderful served warm or with a dollop of creamy whipped topping."
