Nothing curbs a craving quite like your favorite $5 box from Taco Bell, complete with a hot batch of nacho fries. Devoted fans of the Bell know how often the menu changes, so it’s best not to get too attached to one item. If you’re not the type to branch out during the lunch rush, you may want to consider changing your order.
The revamped Taco Bell menu is coming soon, but to make room for all the new goods, we’ll have to say goodbye to some of our favorites. Here’s what we’ll miss on the menu this fall.
Say Goodbye to These 9 Items
Doritos fans won’t be happy to hear that two Doritos Locos Tacos flavors will be discontinued. It looks like the standard Nacho Cheese is here to stay, but Taco Bell will be doing away with both Cool Ranch and Fiery Doritos Locos Tacos. Whether these two will be replaced by some other spicy Doritos flavors is anyone’s guess. Other disappearing menu items include:
- Double Decker Taco
- Chipotle Chicken Loaded Griller
- Power Menu Burrito
- Double Tostada
- XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito
- Beefy Mini Quesadilla
Chips and salsa will also be dropping off the menu, so you’ll have to stick to your side order of guac or queso from now on.
Menu items aren’t the only things that are changing. The new Taco Bell menu is literally mixing it up, with different combos switching around on the board to make for easier ordering. That means you’ll want to take a long look at the menu before ordering your #5 with extra cheese—you could be getting something entirely different.
Time Is Running Out
If you want to give your favorite Doritos Locos Taco a proper goodbye, you’ll have to get into Taco Bell ASAP. The new mystery menu debuts on September 12, meaning you’ve only got a couple more weeks to snag your favorites.
While we lose out on a few lunchtime staples, you can bet they’ll be replaced by bigger and better flavors. Taco Bell’s been playing with plenty of new munchies lately (Buffalo Chicken Nacho Fries, anyone?), so we’re hoping to see some of these goodies making their debut very soon.
