My mom always finds ways to make good foods taste even more special. A great example is this ham served with a sweet pineapple sauce. A simple mixture of basic ingredients results in a mouthwatering main dish.

Tastes good but did several modifications. This has a thick consistency like cranberry sauce. I like it more like gravy. I cut the brown sugar in 1/2. I do not like pinapple in every bite. I used an 8 ounce can of pinapple rings with natural juice. I cut the rings in bite size pieces. This is enough piapple. The cornstarch needs to be cut back a lot. Too thick. I would start with 1/2 tablespoon corn starch. If you want a bit thicker the add additional cornstarch to a cup and add a few tablespoons hot mixture in cup, stir until cornstarch dissolved and put in pan and stir. Other than that very tasty. Several of my guest did not want the pinapple and just used the sauce part.
This is a great sauce for your ham. I cut the sugar in half, because the crushed pineapple is sweet enough as it is. I've been making this for over 15 years and everyone loves it.
Loved the sauce!!!
