  • 2 tilapia fillets (6 ounces each)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • Dash garlic powder

Directions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°. Brush fillets with butter. In a small bowl, mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle over fillets.

Air-Fryer Tilapia Tips

Can you use frozen tilapia fillets for this recipe?

One great thing about using the air fryer is that your food can stay frozen until you’re ready to start cooking! Tilapia is a lean fish, so it goes from the freezer to the air fryer easier than a fattier fish would. Just make sure that it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F, no matter if you air fry frozen or thawed fillets. Here are more frozen foods you can cook in the air fryer.

How can you make sure the air-fryer tilapia cooks evenly?

Every air fryer is a little different, so follow the manufacturer’s guide for the best results when cooking your fish. No matter the machine, make sure your fillets have room to cook, and none of them are overlapped. You may want to turn them if you notice one corner of the fillet getting darker than the others, but avoid flipping them over so you don’t lose any of the delicious topping to the basket.

How do you store air-fryer tilapia?

Air-fryer tilapia will taste best the day you make them, but you can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. Simply pop them back into the air fryer to reheat.
