This rich quiche recipe is featured in a family cookbook I compiled. It's attractive enough to serve for a company brunch...and it tastes terrific. My husband is proof that quiche can satisfy even a man-sized appetite!

So I am not a good cook--I hardly ever make anything that doesn't come out of a box or my freezer. But I wanted a quiche. This one was DELICIOUS. It took much longer to cook than it said in the recipe, but I imagine that's probably a fault of my oven. It still came out great. Love the herbs added to it, mmm.

I tried this recipe last night with some leftover ham. Since I did not have all of the required ingredients, these are my substitutions: Cheddar in place of the mozzarella, frozen broccoli rather than fresh, heavy cream in place of the milk and I omitted the rosemary, not having any available. I thought this was very good and will definitely make this again. It is a wonderful use of extra ham and a welcome change from a casserole, simple ham and eggs or the ever-popular ham sandwich.

For a first timer, this quiche is tastefully different from the usual holiday dishes I used to cook. This is really a healthy and delicious diversion! My husband gave it a 5!!! I must confess I mixed cauliflower with broccoli.

My family asks for quiche several times a month and I like to use a variety of recipes. I've never used herbs in my quiche and this was a wonderful change!

I will definitely make this again.

Wow. This smells delicious in the oven and tastes so good!!! The flavors and egg consistency is wonderful. I was a little nervous because the last time I tried to make quiche, it didn't turn out. I would consider this recipe to be a big success.

I was using leftovers and had to modify it slightly. I used ~1.25 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, probably a cup of ham, and a cup of broccoli and cauliflower, combined. I added a very small onion, diced finely. I almost had an overflow problem. I expect the recipe probably has the quantities correct!! Good luck!!

PS. Thanks to the other review, I also added less salt. I think this was appropriate!

My huband wanted me to make a quiche. He was down with a cold and felt terrible, so I decided to treat him to this recipe. I added a tad more broccoli and a little more ham. With the extra ham, I should have reduced the salt. Actually, everything that could go wrong did go wrong (my fault for not reading the entire instructions). In spite of cooking it 100 degrees hotter than the instructions - it still came out great. My husband had two servings, he liked it so much!! This will be a keeper in our house.

I made this for Sunday morning brunch with some friends. Everyone loved it and my only regret was not making a double batch! Definitely a keeper!
