- 12 whole graham crackers (about 5 inches x 2-1/2 inches)
- 1-1/2 cups butter (no substitutes)
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups sliced almonds
- Line a 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan with heavy-duty foil. Place graham crackers in pan. In a saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Carefully pour over graham crackers. Sprinkle with almonds.
- Bake at 400° for 6-8 minutes or until bubbly. Cool in pan for 4 minutes. Cut each cracker into four sections; transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Yield: 4 dozen.

"I was excited to try this since it looked quick & easy. I followed directions exactly (used parchment paper sprayed with my favorite non-aerosol cooking spray). Looked good coming out of the oven. I let it cool & had family taste it & they all said it was very bland; which it was. Next day it tasted better, but it was just too sugary sweet for my family's taste. I am sorry I wasted the butter & sugar. I would like to know if anyone altered the recipe by including a bit of cinnamon or vanilla extract. Next time I want a quick & easy sweet, I will stick to our favorite fruit cobbler; less sugar & butter. I will not make it again, but I am glad that it worked for other people."
