Arroz Con Leche (Rice Pudding)
Sweet and simple, this creamy arroz con leche recipe is real comfort food in any language. You’ll love the warm raisin and cinnamon flavors. It’s great served cold, too. —Marina Castle Kelley, Canyon Country, California

This was a hit with my husband and 15 year old son (who requested it). I usually make my own "quick" version with instant rice but decided to try your recipe with the uncooked rice instead. Glad I did! It takes a lot longer and a whole lot more stirring but well worth it. I doubled the recipe but only did 14 oz (1 can) of sweetened condensed milk instead of 16 oz. I'm glad I did because it was pretty sweet still. I also replaced the water with 2% milk and added vanilla extract. Delicious!!!
As easy as homemade yummy comfort food gets! Although it’s way too sweet with 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk- I would do half that amount next time and some whole milk. I diluted it with whole milk this first time and it seemed to work (but I would still cut the sweetened condensed milk in half)! I found myself needing to stir it a lot- so I had to stand by the stove the whole time it cooked,, but that didn’t bother me. :) I can’t wait to make it again adjusting the recipe! I will definitely add this to my recipe box!
So delicious and easy! I used Arborio rice. Thank you, Marina, for sharing this recipe.
This was ok. I love Ina Garten's recipe for rice pudding much better. It's always my go to recipe.
I have made this twice now the first time i followed the recipe, which i never do, was way too think and sweet, so 2nd time doubled the recipe added regular milk, refilled the condensed milk can, vanilla and brown sugar, OMG it was soo good....
I have never had this before and I have only heard of it from Dora the Explorer! My 5 year old and I tried it tonight, THIS WAS AWESOME! This is a definite make again recipe! It is a little sweet so I couldn't eat too much but top notch! I will be bringing it to my "Sister Tuesday" get together for dessert since we are having tacos! Thank you for such a wonderful recipe!

This was really good - I used brown rice, which tasted great warm, but when I refrigerated it, the rice hardened up. I'd stick with the plain white rice next time. Seasoning is perfect.
