Tom Roemer from Colorado Springs, Colorado shared this 8 serving, 20-minute appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 round (8 ounces) Brie cheese
  • 1/2 cup mixed berry jam
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • Assorted crackers

Directions

Step 1: Preheat oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F. It’s best to have your brie out before baking.

Step 2: Add toppings

Place your cheese in a 9-in. pie plate and top with jam and almonds.

Step 3: Bake

Bake until the cheese is softened, about 15-20 minutes.

Step 4: Serve

Plain crackers are the perfect vehicle for brie since they don’t distract from the flavors of the cheese. Wait until the brie is at room temperature or slightly warm to serve. Never serve it chilled!

Can you make baked brie with puff pastry?

Baked brie in puff pastry is nothing short of elegant. You’ll have to adjust the oven temperature and baking time to the recipe. But the main takeaway is that the jam (or preserves) are spread in the center of the puff pastry. The cheese is then placed over the jam.

Can you use other jams?
