I followed recipe ingredients as given. Only ingredient change was adding 1 Tbsp. butter to baked kugel and putting under broiler for about 5 minutes for MORE color. I'd baked the kugel @ 350o F. by mistake!I did sample kugel and with the broiled top, I did get more color! The kugel tasted like a giant baked potato latke and was crunchy on top!
This dish didn't have much flavor, but made yummy latkes the next morning.
