Favorite Grilled Pork Chops

This recipe is my favorite out of all my grilled pork chop recipes. I start preparing this entree the night before I plan to grill it.—Erica Svejda, Janesville, Wisconsin

  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 boneless pork loin chops (8 ounces each and 1 inch thick)


  • In a large bowl, combine the first eight ingredients. Add pork chops; turn to coat. Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  • Drain and discard marinade. Grill pork chops, covered, over medium heat for 10-15 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 145°. Let meat stand for 5 minutes before serving.

    Followed the recipe except I didn’t have the cayenne pepper, but the grilled chops got rave reviews from my guests and my husband. I did marinate overnight and will make this recipe again.

    This will now be my "go to" marinade. Used it with chicken and received compliments. I don't think you need to even try to improve upon it.

    First, let me admit the changes I was forced to make. I didn't have enough olive oil (imagine) so supplemented with corn oil. Didn't have fresh parsley, so used dry. Only marinated for about five hours because I started too late. Result: excellent. I coerced my wife - who hates pork, won't let it pass her lips unless it's bacon -- and she pronounced it very, very good. Wow. An accolade. I even gave a little piece to my Corgi, who thought it was superb, but he's not much of a critic. Anyway, I've tried seven or eight grilled pork chop recipes, and none of them came close to this. It's my go-to from now on. Thank you very much.

    Great flavor in this marinade! I used chops a little thinner than 1" and grilled them for 4 minutes/side. They were perfect - tender and flavorful. Will try on chicken too!

    I omitted the cayenne pepper and added more garlic. This is a very flavorful marinade and so easy to make!

    We omitted the parsley and this marinade was the best we've found for boneless pork chops! Make sure you use thick cut. We left them marinating for 3 hours but I bet if we start it the night before, they'll be even better. Delicious!

    My husband doesn't love pork chops but occasionally I'll buy them mainly because they are so inexpensive. I found this recipe and had everything in hand. I eyeballed most of the ingredients and didn't have the time to marinate for more than 2 hours. They still tasted great! In the future I'll plan ahead and marinate longer.
