This is wonderful fast-to-fix munchie. The recipe makes a generous 24 cups and doesn't involve any cooking. It's a cinch to package in individual snack bags, keeps its crunch and is a savory alternative to the cakes and pies usually offered at bake sales. -Linda Murphy Pulaski, Wisconsin

"I am adding another 5-star rating. I made this for our annual (adult) kids fall birthday party. (All of them plus one spouse were born in the fall so one big party is easier.) This snack was a huge hit. The recipe makes a LOT which comes in handy for a crowd. My clan was picking around the pretzels so I think I will try subbing wheat Chex the next time I make it for my family. The only negative thing for me is that it was a little too salty for my taste but nobody else mentioned that . One more thing: due to my extreme nut allergies, I subbed a 9 oz. bag of oyster crackers for the cashews. I will be making this again and again."

"Brought this as a "vegetarian" option side dish to an office potluck. This recipe is easy to follow and quick to make - better for a bulk batch than buying it pre-made!"

"I was a little skeptical at first but I needed an easy treat for a meeting. I didn't want to deal with the oven and since this recipe had lots of things I love, I went with it. I was afraid it would be really oily but it wasn't. It was tasty and just right for a roomful of hungry office managers."

"This is always a hit! We take it to every family gathering. It's also really easy to switch up the ingredients if you can't find something! My family and I like to use corn chips instead of Bugles."

"So easy. So delish! First thing to sell out at our bake sale. Made it Monday, still crisp when sold on Friday. We put it in clear cellophane bags, tied with a ribbon. Looked great!"

"The recipe I have uses popcorn oil and you bake it for 40 min at 250 degrees, stirring every ten minutes. I pour it out on paper towels to absorb some of the oil after it bakes."
