These were good, similar to the recipe I usually use. I increased the rum to 1/2 cup for more flavor.
If you don't immediately make the balls, the mixture dries out and will not form. Act fast! Next time, to increase the flavor, I will add run extract.
Mom makes these and she uses a 1/2 cup of rum instead of a 1/4 cup
Disappointing. Can hardly taste the rum and very bland. Next time, I will use more rum and no water. Maybe add some vanilla, nutmeg or cinnamon.

My mom has been making rum balls for as long as I can remember. Probably at least 50 years. She makes them every year. We never freeze or refrigerate and they last a very long time in an air tight container. She uses corn syrup instead of honey and has never used water. I have also rolled them in cocoa powder instead of powdered sugar. You can experiment with different cookies, nuts

k so I made this, very sticky why ? is it maybe because I only put 1-1/2 cups of crumbs when it's suppose to be 2-1/2 cups, but anyways I had to put lots of icing sugar and when I rolled them they started to go flat like a pancake I am for sure making them again just need some tips from other people, I also did a little change, I put rum and a a little bit of vodka,,, no harm hehehe
