Baked Onion Dip
Some people like this cheesy dip so much that they can't tear themselves away from the appetizer table to eat their dinner. But can you blame them? With two kinds of cheese and sweet onions in the mix, this ultra creamy dip is unforgettable. —Mona Zignego, Hartford, Wisconsin

This Baked Onion Dip was a hit at a recent family dinner! It is simple to make and is a nice change from the standard onion mix and sour cream combo. A definite keeper!
I have made this many times and it's wonderful. I use lower fat mayonnaise and cheese, and it's still creamy, rich, and has wonderful sweet onion flavour.
I made this dip on 12/2/16! I took it to our Social Hour at my retirement community and everyone really enjoyed it-it was practically gone! I omitted the parsley and instead of Swiss cheese, I'd used "Double Cheddar" shredded Cheddar cheese: 1-1/2 cups and a whole sweet chopped Vidalia onion! I kept the mayo and Parmesan cheese the same! I sampled what was left and I admit that it WAS very tasty! delowenstein
Easy to prepare, filled with great flavors. Was a hit at our family cookout.
I made this YEARS ago when I was still a teenager for my family gatherings for holidays. Now I am requested to bring it to every gathering. The key to getting it to cook all the way through and brown nicely is to cook it in a nice shallow pan- maybe only 1-1 1/2 inch deep. Try it!
This is a keeper. I made this for an impromptu happy hour with friends and it was delicious. My husband even like it and he doesn't like manyonnaise or Parmensan cheese. I just didn't tell him what was in it! Will definitely make again. Served it with crackers and pita toast points.
