I created this chicken sandwich recipe based on a meal my daughter ordered at a restaurant. She likes to dip her sandwich in the extra honey-mustard sauce. —Marilyn Moberg, Papillion, Nebraska

My family calls this THE sandwich, because it’s that good. One of the most often-requested meals in my house! I’ve made it with tenderloins, breasts, and butterflies breasts and it’s a hit any way. Usually make at least double or triple the amount of sauce, as we always end up dunking almost every bite in it (it’s that good).

These sandwiches were delicious! I served them for my dad while he was visiting and he really enjoyed them. my son doesn’t care for Swiss so we put Pepper Jack on his and he used chipotle ranch dressing on his sandwich and loved it. My dad and I LOVED the sauce on this sandwich. It’s has kind of a tangy flavor and it’s perfect on this. Instead of crumbling two bacon strips and dividing that up among four sandwiches, I just cooked two strips of bacon for each sandwich and broke them in half.

I made this as-written, except with turkey bacon, and it was good.

This recipe uses the most basic ingredients, but it is so unbelievably delicious. I'll be grilling these up all summer. I subbed cheddar just as a personal preference, and added a little more bacon (because there's no such thing as too much bacon)!
