Basil Dill Coleslaw Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 cups shredded cabbage
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons chopped fresh basil or 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 3 tablespoons snipped fresh dill or 1 tablespoon dill weed
  • DRESSING:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons half-and-half cream
  • 1 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper

Directions

  • In a serving bowl, combine the cabbage, basil and dill. In a small bowl, combine dressing ingredients until blended. Pour over cabbage mixture and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate until serving. Yield: 6-8 servings.

Nutritional Facts 1 serving (3/4 cup) equals 138 calories, 11 g fat (2 g saturated fat), 7 mg cholesterol, 87 mg sodium, 8 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 1 g protein.
