BLT Salad Recipe

Prep/Total Time: 10 min.

Ingredients

4 bacon strips, diced
4 cups spring mix salad greens
1 medium tomato, chopped
1/2 cup cubed cheddar cheese
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 to 2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons cider vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup salad croutons

Directions

In a skillet or microwave, cook bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels. In a salad bowl, combine the greens, tomato and cheese. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper. Pour over salad; toss to coat. Sprinkle with bacon and croutons. Yield: 4 servings.

This salad is delicious and so quick and easy to make. I served it with the Split Second Shrimp on the same page.

This salad is wonderful. I put half of the sugar called for..otherwise not one other change. I am taking it to a 4th of July party on Sunday and can't wait to bring this delicious salad.....

VERY GOOD! I have super picky salad eater children...They ONLY like Hidden Valley LITE ranch dressing, but they LOVED this!! I didn't add the sugar to the dressing however becasue I do not like sweet dressings... But its a keeper in my house! Thanks for the recipie!
