Smooth Sweet Tea

A pinch of baking soda eliminates bitterness in this smooth and easy-to-sip tea and it has just the right amount of sugar so it's not overly sweet. —kelseylouise, Taste of Home Community Member

This is by far the best tea I’ve ever made!!!!! I usually make tea almost every day and now I’m making it with this recipe. I was a little skeptical using the baking soda but I did it anyways and it cuts the bitterness I never knew was there! Thanks for the recipe!!!

This is very similar to how I make my sweet tea. The recipe is simple and tasty. I substitute the baking soda with fresh lemon juice to cut the bitterness. I also like my tea a little sweeter so I ended up using more sugar. Overall good recipe that is easy to do different variations on!
