I love chicken Parmesan and my family loves stromboli, so one day I combined the two using a few convenience products. This recipe turned out better than I could have hoped. It's now a staple in our house. —Cyndy Gerken, Naples, Florida

Ingredients

  • 4 frozen breaded chicken tenders (about 1-1/2 ounces each)
  • 1 tube (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza crust
  • 8 slices part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Marinara sauce, warmed

Directions

  1. Prepare chicken tenders according to package directions. Preheat oven to 400°. Unroll pizza dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Layer crust with mozzarella, chicken tenders and Parmesan to within 1/2 in. of edges. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a short side; pinch seam to seal and tuck ends under. Combine olive oil, garlic powder, oregano and pepper; brush over top.
  2. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until crust is dark golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
