Caramel-Pecan Apple Slices

- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 large apples, cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
- In a large skillet, cook and stir brown sugar and butter over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Add apples; cook, uncovered, over medium heat for 5-7 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in pecans. Serve warm.
Editor's NoteTo toast nuts, bake in a shallow pan in a 350° oven for 5-10 minutes or cook in a skillet over low heat until lightly browned, stirring occasionally.

This is always a crowd pleaser at my house. I always have these ingredients on hand. It is so quick and easy to whip up this simple dessert when we are in the mood. I also like using pears instead of apples!

Very tasty. I didn't toast the pecans, but I did add a little cinnamon.
