"I often make a big batch of these peanut butter-flavored cereal bars on days that I don't want to heat up the kitchen," relates Jane Thompson of Eureka, Illinois. "Kids especially love them, so they're great for picnics, potlucks and school bake sales."

These were okay. The kids liked these but the adults did not. I think if I were to make these again, I would use 3/4 c. peanut butter to add more flavor and maybe use Cheerios instead of Rice Krispies. I liked the idea of using pretzels since I like the sweet and salty combo but was not thrilled with this recipe.

These were a huge hit with my family. The only thing I did differently was drop the mixture onto waxed paper to make individual no bake cookies!! We love to take these camping!! Yummy!!!

One day last week I ran across this recipe in a Collector's Edition "Quick Cooking." I made them for some Valentine's Day gift boxes. They were wonderful--yummy and easy to make!!! This is a "keeper" recipe. :) Thank you for sharing the recipe!
