Many people don't think of using a slow cooker to make dessert, but I like finishing up our dinner and having this hot, scrumptious apple treat waiting to be served up. I can start it in the morning and not think about it all day. —Jacki Every, Rotterdam, New York

We LOVE this recipe. The smell is great and it is not overly sweet :) We enjoy this in about 2 - 2 1/2 hours from the crock pot.

has anyone noticed I LOVE my slow cooker? its so great to have dessert bubbling away while we dally over a huge meal. We like this one just scooped in the bowl with a dollop of cool whip.

Good flavor, but the almonds give it a strange texture. I think it might be better with oats.

This one is worth the preparation time. It's very good! I had 2 helpings the first time I tried it. Next time I make it I'll be sure to have vanilla ice cream on hand! -Lori in WI.
