"This delicious breakfast has been a favorite of mine for years," raves Sherri-Jo Capodiferro of Brightwaters, New York. "I like that I can assemble it the night before. I try to keep my mornings as simple as possible since I am a night owl and not a morning person!"

What an incredible treat to have for breakfast on the weekend. Basically, this was SO DELICIOUS that I cannot wait to make it again. Flipping the bread over into the sauce after baking was a great idea!

I have made this a couple of times. The first time I followed the recipe exactly and the second time I thought I would cut back on some of the liquid, the vote was, follow the recipe exactly, it was too dry without all the liquid.

Some great tasting French Toast!! I always use 2% milk instead of half & half. We have made it several times and always after it's done baking we flip the pieces upside down so the caramel filling is sitting on top of the bread. My Favorite recipe for french toast!!

Sounds delicious and I am going to make this weekend - I agree with Batemanj, Bettycrocker1961 shouldn't even be looking at this stuff if she is on weight watchers - why would you even check the ingredients and then make a comment like that - DON'T EAT IT!!

I have made this several times and my family really enjoys it. I do use 2% milk instead of the half & half mainly because I never have it on hand. I also add a handful of pecans to the caramel before I lay down the bread slices. If I don't have thick bakery bread or homemade bread and I'm craving this, I use store bought white bread and put peanutbutter between the slices and dip the bottom into the egg/milk mixture before putting in on the caramel then pour the rest of the batter over the top. It is excellent every time.

This was the BEST french toast I have EVER HAD in my entire life. I would make it every weekend if it were not for how unhealthy it is.
