Ingredients

  • 4 teaspoons ground coffee
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground chipotle pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 beef ribeye steaks (3/4 pound each)
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the first 7 ingredients. In a shallow dish, combine oil and Worcestershire sauce. Coat steaks in oil mixture. Rub coffee mixture over both sides of steaks. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes, turning once.
  2. Grill, covered, over medium-high heat until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°), 4-6 minutes on each side. Top each steak with 1 tablespoon butter. Let steaks stand 5 minutes before serving.
