Sweet Coffee-Rubbed Ribeyes

Ingredients

  • 4 teaspoons ground coffee
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground chipotle pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 beef ribeye steaks (3/4 pound each)
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions

  • 1. In a small bowl, combine the first 7 ingredients. In a shallow dish, combine oil and Worcestershire sauce. Coat steaks in oil mixture. Rub coffee mixture over both sides of steaks. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes, turning once.
  • 2. Grill, covered, over medium-high heat until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°), 4-6 minutes on each side. Top each steak with 1 tablespoon butter. Let steaks stand 5 minutes before serving.
