Crispy Baked Tofu Tips
How do you keep tofu crispy?
This tofu recipe gets nice and crispy in the oven. Baking at 400° for 25 to 30 minutes is the perfect sweet spot. Plus, blotting the tofu dry like we recommend helps yield crispy results. If your tofu still isn't as crispy as you like, we have a few other suggestions to
avoid soggy tofu.
How can you make crispy baked tofu your own?
You can add whatever spices you like to this
plant-based meat substitute. One of our favorite combinations is tossing tofu in tapioca starch, then dredging it in egg, milk and paprika, and dropping it in panko bread crumbs, garlic, basil and oregano. Other ideas include
Asian-style tofu,
buffalo tofu and
tofu with black pepper sauce, although we have plenty of other
tofu recipes that will inspire you!
How else can you cook crispy tofu?
Make crispy
tofu in the air fryer. Preheat your air fryer to 375°, then, after cubing, blotting and seasoning the tofu, place the tofu on the tray, leaving space around all sides of each piece. (If all of the cubes won’t fit with space for air to circulate, cook them in multiple batches.) Cook the tofu for 12 minutes without shifting it, until golden brown and crispy on all sides.

cilantro-lime rice for a well-rounded and tasty meal.
How long does crispy baked tofu last?
Crispy baked tofu lasts for about 3 to 5 days when stored in an airtight container in the fridge.
