Creme de Menthe Cream Puff Tree

I have not made this recipe but I'd like to comment on it. I learned how to make a Croquembouche in France. All the puffs are small and the same size and end up quite a large tree. The puffs have a pudding-like filling and are stuck together with a praline like a web over the whole "tree." This is, very often, a wedding cake.
This turned out wonderful. Just the PUFF alone. I added my own fillings and my friends just loved it. I made this years ago not same recipe but I felt good doing it again. Thank-You Taste Of Home
I modified this into a Caramel Apple Puff Tree using apple pie filling and a pecan caramel glaze. Puzzled about building the tree properly.
