This apple and maple pork chop recipe is one of my family's favorites—my children just love it. The pork is super tender, and the maple syrup really makes the dish. It is so easy since it's made in the slow cooker! —Niki Schiefer, Attica, Ohio

Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in center-cut pork loin chops (7 ounces each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup apple butter
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt with parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Pat pork chops dry with a paper towel. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Quickly cook chops until browned, 1-2 minutes per side; remove from pan. Place chops and apples in a 5-qt. slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; pour sauce mixture over the chops and apples. Cover and cook on low until meat is tender, 3-4 hours.
