Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 halibut steaks (5 ounces each)

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the first six ingredients. Cook and stir until butter is melted. Remove from the heat; set aside.
  2. Grill halibut on greased rack, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat until fish just begins to flake easily with a fork, basting frequently with butter mixture, 4-5 minutes on each side.
