In Bend, Oregon, Loraine Meyer bakes these light, fluffy scones that are loaded with dried cranberries and topped with cinnamon-sugar. "I take them to breakfast meetings, serve them at brunches, and share them with neighbors and friends," she says.

"These were fast to make and delicious to eat! I threw a batch together to take to my mother for Mother's Day. I made no modifications. They were a big hit. Will definitely make again and try out substitutes for the orange and cranberry."

"I've made these many, many times. My family loves them! Excellent if you follow the recipe however my family likes them even more with an orange glaze instead of the cinnamon and sugar (1 cup confectioner sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, orange zest, orange juice to the consistency you want and drizzle over the warm scones). I've also made this recipe substituting blueberries and lemon zest for the cranberries and orange zest. Excellent! easy! Love 'em! Thank you so much for this recipe."

"Best and easiest recipe! I had to substitute 1/4 cup butter with whipping cream, and added some vanilla Essenes as well as cardamom. Instead of orange I used lemon. These are absolutely fantastic! Oh, and mixed fresh and dried cranberries. Love, love, love!"
