The buttermilk gives this bread a wonderfully unique taste and a pretty golden crust.
- 1-1/4 cups buttermilk
- 1-1/2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order given. Select "white bread" setting. Bake according to bread machine directions. Yield: 1 loaf (2 pounds).
