This is one of our favorite spicy snack food recipes, and it's quick and easy to prepare when friends drop by on short notice. It also makes a great side dish for a complete Southwestern-style meal. Mild or sweet peppers can be substituted for the chilies for those who like their guacamole a little less spicy. —Anne Tipps, Duncanville, Texas

Keep Guacamole FreshI like to make guacamole ahead of time for my favorite chicken quesadillas. I’ve found that if the avocado pit is added to the guacamole and the dish is covered, the guacamole retains its pretty, green color. —Pam Ubl, Coon Rapids, Minnesota

Delicious! Glad it doesnt call for sour cream or cream cheese like some other reciepes do.

I would use a little less lemon juice next time, or possibly use lime juice instead.

I would have to say that I LOVE this recipe with one exception... I thought it was WAY too acidic the first time I made it. I cut WAY back on the lemon juice the second time, and it was soooo delicious!!

This is the bomb! (That means it's great!) I've always loved Guac but had never made it because I'm the only one in my family who likes it. This was so easy and good!
