Parmesan PointersWhen a recipe calls for shredded Parmesan cheese, use the cheese found in bags in the grocery store dairy section. Shredded Parmesan is often used in salads or soups where the shreds make a pretty garnish. If grated Parmesan is called for, use the finely grated cheese sold in containers with shaker/pourer tops. This type works well in lasagna and casseroles. (You can substitute either shredded or grated Parmesan in equal proportions in your favorite recipes.) If you decide to buy a chunk of Parmesan cheese and grate your own, be sure to use the finest section on your grating tool. You can also use a blender or food processor. Simply cut the cheese into 1-inch cubes and process 1 cup of cubes at a time on high until finely grated.

Fabulous and easy. The chops came out moist and tender. Other reviews complained about calorie and fat content. If you are watching your calories, my suggestion? Find another recipe!!

The people who complain about the fat/calories, etc. They need to look at the Light and Tasty section.

391 mg of salt per chop is too much for a salt free diet/low salt diet. Fat is high. Not healthy, but taste is great! Cannot make again.

Jill, that's the type of instant mashed potatoes. They are Butter and Herb flavored instant mashed potatoes. Hope that helps.

I guess I don't understand the recipe. What does 2/3 cup butter and herb-flavored mashed potatoes mean? Does one prepare herb-flavored mashed potatoes and add 2/3 cup butter ? Does this recipe really mean to use 1 full cup of butter?

while this may be good, the question is is it good FOR YOU!! Check out the cholesterol and sodium not to mention the fat...533 calories per chop??? I think we can do better than this!!

Great flavor. Use chicken if you want a healthier fare.
