Buttermilk Wheat Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1-1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Directions

  • In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order given. Select "white bread" setting. Bake according to bread machine directions. Yield: 1 loaf (2 pounds).

Nutritional Facts 1 serving (1 slice) equals 107 calories, 1 g fat (1 g saturated fat), 4 mg cholesterol, 179 mg sodium, 21 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 4 g protein.

A delicious, easy to make bread. Everyone loved it!!

I use this recipe all the time and love it. The only change I make is that I use half wheat flour and half white flour to make it more healthy. I also use sunflower oil instead of butter and honey rather than sugar. Delicious!
