Tip

Keep Guacamole Fresh

I like to make guacamole ahead of time for my favorite chicken quesadillas. I’ve found that if the avocado pit is added to the guacamole and the dish is covered, the guacamole retains its pretty, green color. —Pam Ubl, Coon Rapids, Minnesota

This was a super easy and very tasty recipe. I like how simple it is to make and the freashness of the taste. My best fried and I ate almost all of it by ourelves.

If you don't plan on eating the guac right away, I highly recommend 2 tips. 1. Rinse the chopped onions in water before adding to the guac - otherwise it will overpower it. 2. Add the pit of one avocado to the guac and cover it with plastic wrap so the wrap touches the surface of the guac. It will last much longer this way.

A good starter but added garlic and garlic salt with a dash of cayenne.

LOVED the fact that this is so simple and that the flavor of the avocado is not overpowered by any other ingredients! Love chunky avocado and lime! Reminds me of Chipotle!

This is my go-to recipe for guacamole! I did increase the salt a little, as well, but I made it and let it rest first before adding more salt, according to my taste. Great recipe!

Very good but we added a little sour cream to make it a little more creamy and spreadable. We increased the salt a little bit as well.
