Ingredients

  • 2 packages (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast
  • 2 cups warm water (110° to 115°)
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 5 to 5-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Cornmeal
  • Pizza toppings of your choice

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add oil, sugar, salt and 3 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a firm dough. Turn onto a floured surface; cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Divide dough into 10 pieces. Roll each portion into an 8-in. circle; prick each circle of dough several times with tines of a fork. Transfer dough to greased baking sheets lightly sprinkled with cornmeal, building up edges slightly. Do not let rise. Bake at 425° until lightly browned, 6-8 minutes. Add toppings as desired; bake 8-12 minutes longer.
