- 4 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- In a large skillet, saute onions in oil over medium heat until tender, about 15 minutes. Stir in vinegar and brown sugar. Cook for 10 minutes longer or until onions are golden.

Made this to accompany grilled steak. Really like the flavor. Vinegar added a bit of a tang and helped balance the sweet.

My husband and I love grilled or sautéed onions so this recipe was very good. I might put a little less sugar in next time just to cut out some calories.
