This salad was served at a dear friend's baby shower by a health-conscious friend, who suggested the dressing be prepared with low-fat or fat-free ingredients. Either way, the creamy dressing has plenty of garlic flavor and coats the pasta, romaine and croutons nicely. —Tammy Steenbock, Sembach Air Base, Germany

"Very good but I could only find 9 oz. pks of cheese tortellini' so I bought 2 because ingredients say one 19 oz. pkg. it was way to many so am wondering if it's a misprint and it's suppose to be 1- 9oz pkg instead of 19 ounces. Next time I will definitely be only using 9 ozs."

"Have made this salad MANY times! I have finessed the dressing a bit by adding anchovy paste...I also grate the garlic, so there are no "pieces". I always make it a complete meal , usually adding shrimp, turkey or chichen, and of course, some homemade croutons and tomatoes."

"While I enjoyed the salad, I didn't expect the dressing to taste so 'mayonnaise-y' (I used Hellman's). I also added some minced shallot, about equal to the amount of garlic used, and it really added to the flavor of the dressing quite nicely. I will definitely make this again, perhaps with a different brand of mayo."

"This recipe needs more than 5 stars! The dressing alone is amazing, and I will be making it, even without the salad, for other salads Absolutely LOVE this! Husband had 2 servings of salad, and he's not a big salad person!"
