Tip

Substitute for Nuts

If your family loves the crunch of nuts in brownies and chocolate chip cookies, but someone is allergic to them, add granola or crisp rice cereal in the same amounts as the nuts called for in your recipes. But, always check the granola or cereal packages for nut allergy alerts to be certain.

I feel the same way that cherrylady does about recipes without pictures. I usually pass on the ones without photos but this same recipe can be found on allrecipes.com with 9 pictures.

I made these cookies with butterscotch pudding instead of vanilla. I also substituted 1 c. of choc. chips for butterscotch chips. They are soft and delicious!

I'm making these cookies yet again for a concert tomorrow. Everyone agrees they are the best ever!

These were not a hit with my family. Not a fan of adding the pudding, just tasted strange. Not enough sugar and way to dense.

super soft and chewy!

These are great! Instead of walnuts (kids don't like them) I use a 1/2 of cup of Skor Chipits and Rainbow chips! Great hit every time!

Is it just me, or do others feel this way too. . . I want to see a picture of a recipe before I try it. I know what kind of cookie I like when I see it. Without a picture, I'm not going to waste my time.

These cookies had just the texture I was looking for - soft and chewy, not crispy. They look like little pillows, like something you'd see at a fancy bakery. I found that I needed a bit more vanilla extract and a dash of salt in the recipe. I also switched out the baking soda for baking powder. This will be my go-to cookie recipe from now on!

Awesome cookies! Very moist and tasty. If using a baking stone, I would preheat it in the oven as it is preheating. I did this and the cookies turned out perfect!
