Gooey Chocolate Cookies
These soft and chewy cookies couldn’t be easier to make. Jazz them up with a chocolate kiss in the center, or substitute a different flavor of cake mix. —Angela Bailey, San Pierre, Indiana

These are the BEST cookies, moist and delicious. Actually, you can use any flavored cake mix to make it the flavor you want. Works just as good. I too roll them in powdered sugar before baking. Makes the extra special. An AAA+++ rating on these. Yummmm..... <3
These are super simple to whip up and delicious. I added some semi sweet chocolate chips to the mix. About half a bag I had leftover from another cooking adventure. I also rolled them in powdered sugar prior to baking. Super good. Definitely a keeper.

I, too made them with the brownie mix because I had it on hand. These turned out really well like this and I will try the cake mix next time so I can give a proper rating on the recipe as it is.
I used a lemon cake mix and added some white chips and cranberries. I rolled in powdered sugar before baking. Oh my! They were fabulous and received raves from everyone that tried them.
VERY GOOD WITH A LEMON CAKE MIX. yOU CAN USE ANY FLAVOR YOU WISH AND ROLL IN POWDERED SUGAR.
I followed the recipe with a "regular" Devil's Food cake mix (15.25 oz) and they turned out great. I did add 1/2 cup of Hershey's mini chips which gave them an extra punch. Almost like eating a bite size brownie! Yummy--we love them and they are SO EASY which is a BIG plus! We'll be making these again!
I have made this recipe a few times now and they are so good. I will try with a brownie mix next time as suggested by previous post. I usually use milk chocolate cake mix.
I was going to make this recipe and had all ingredients except the chocolate cake mix. I did have a box of brownie mix, so I used that and the cookies were DELICIOUS! My husband said they were the best cookies I've ever made, even better than Toll-House cookies. To be fair to the recipe, the next batch I used chocolate cake mix. They were good, but not as good as with the brownie mix. I love the simplicity of this recipe and have made several batches, and will continue to make more.
