Cheese-Topped Sloppy Joes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
    XKick-up the flavor

    With Johnsonville Italian Sausage.

  • 2 celery ribs, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 6 hamburger buns, split
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese

Directions

  • In a large skillet, cook the beef, celery and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the flour, brown sugar, mustard and ketchup.
  • Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve on buns with cheese. Yield: 6 servings.
