Simple Waldorf Salad

- 2 large Gala or Honeycrisp apples, unpeeled and chopped (about 3 cups)
- 2 cups chopped celery
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped California Walnuts, toasted
- 1/3 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup plain yogurt
- Combine apples, celery, raisins and walnuts. Add mayonnaise and yogurt; toss to coat. Refrigerate, covered, until serving.
Editor's NoteTo toast nuts, bake in a shallow pan in a 350° oven for 5-10 minutes or cook in a skillet over low heat until lightly browned, stirring occasionally.

Love this basic Waldorf salad. Sometimes, due to ingredients on hand or just for a different taste, I use different dried fruits. and nuts Ie., blueberries, cherries, cranberries, pecans, almonds, etc., And, I have also used sour cream instead of plain yogurt.
