Beef in Mushroom Gravy
Reports Margery Bryan of Royal City, Washington, "This is one of the best and easiest meals I've ever made. It has only four ingredients, and they all go into the pot at once. The meat is nicely seasoned and makes its own gravy-it tastes wonderful when you serve it over mashed potatoes."

Recipe says to combine soup mix, soup, snd water but doesn’t say how much water! ?!
Great help, thanks
This is good. My picky wife even liked it. It deserves 5 stars just because it is so easy and quick to prepare. Cut the beef in 6 pieces, open a can of soup and 2 packages of soup mix, and dump it in. How can it get easier than that.
We loved this and the house smelled amazing! We like gravy so I used 2 cans of soup, one package of beefy onion soup mix and 1 cup of water. Baked covered at 325 for 2 3/4 hours. Perfection! Thanks for sharing!
Bought a large outside round roast, cut 2 one inch slabs off and put in slow cooker along with rest of ingredients. Low heat for 6 hours and turned out delicious and tender. next time would cut down on onion soup mix, a bit too salty, had to thicken up gravy a little. Will make again for sure.
This delicious recipe has been around for a long time, only using chuck roast instead of round steak. I started making it in the oven (pre-slow cookers) for my late husband around 40 years ago. He absolutely loved it, and it is still one of my go-to recipes. Thanks for sharing it!
Baked in oven. 325 degrees . covered til tender 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Used only 1/2 pkg. of onion soup mix. with the mushroom soup and 1/2 cup water. good flavor and fork tender.
The steak was very tender and had great flavor, gravy was delicious over mashed potatoes!
