You don't have to be Irish to enjoy this savory stew. Homemade dumplings make it extra special.

Very flavorful! Beware that it takes much longer than the 1-1/4 hours specified...that's a misprint.

This stew has a nice flavor and is very filling. It's the perfect dish to have at the end of a cold day. However, it does take a LONG time to make.

The cook time of 1 1/4 hours listed at the top of the recipe is an error and should read 3 hours and 14 minutes. Dinner was late but the stew was good and worth the wait.
