Tip

Creepy Cauldron

To create a spooky scene at your Halloween party, purchase dry ice from your local grocery store's seafood department or ice supplier. Using tongs or thick gloves, place the dry ice in a watertight container; cover with water. Warm water will create more smoke, but it will disappear quickly. Cooler water will produce less dense smoke, but it will last longer. If the amount of smoke decreases during your party, add more dry ice and water.

Editor's Note: Do not handle dry ice with your bare hands. Use tongs or thick gloves. Keep dry ice out of the reach of children.

Cute idea, but...the fingers on the hand melted within 1 minute...?

Had this at my recent Halloween party and wasn't too impressed. The flavor was alittle weak. Great idea with the hand!!!

I had a Halloween Party and the kids didn't really like this had to make another punch but I did like the idea for the frozen hand and the ice spiders

This is a fantastic idea, and the punch which I've made before with all sorts of sherbet has always been a hit!

The idea to tie off one finger is even better! I'd add a little dab of the PASTE red food coloring in that finger, maybe even a bit of purple or black too that finger also lol. Just make sure it's the paste food coloring, the liquid food coloring will mix right away with the water and you'll get a different look to your hand that way lol. I love the idea of coloring the hand all green too, with maybe a dab of black paste food coloring at the tips.

Lots of fun ideas coming to mind with it!

We made this for a party in October and everyone loved it! It was gone within a few hrs time and at our next party people expected me to make it and were disappointed when I didnt!

What's even better tie off half a finger or freeze gummie worms in the golve and I even used the eyeball bubble gum/spiders (off the spider rings) in ice cubes. Talk about cool, the kids loved it!

Wow what a great idea! Very creative! You could even add gummy worms in the punch.

Good job from Chester Sipos in Utah!

This really is a big party hit! I used the same punch in my glove with a bit of food coloring to change the color of the hand. I also added dry ice to my cauldron bowl for a fun Halloween twist. Just make sure you wash your glove if you are using a disposable rubber glove. The inside has a bit of powder dust so you definitely don't want that!

I've done the hand shaped ice at work in a different punch and it was a big hit.

I like the "icy hand"! What a great idea!! Good for any punch around Halloween!
