Mayonnaise Chocolate Cake

This old-fashioned dessert often ends the meal at my home. My aunt has made this moist, rich sheet cake for as long as I can remember. Not only is it a cake I can quickly make from scratch, but it calls for ingredients I usually have in the pantry. —Kristine Marra, Clifton Park, New York

Loved making the cake my mom and grandma made when I was a little girl. Very moist and good.

It was very moist, but I didn't think it tasted "chocolately" enough.

Surprisingly the best chocolate cake I've ever made, possibly ever had! Do yourself a favor though and don't try the batter.

This is my son's favorite cake! He requests it often--even for his birthday. It's so easy to make using standard pantry items. A great 'go to' recipe!

Made it, liked it, passed the recipe on, the card club gave it high marks too.
