Homemade Peanut Butter

We eat a lot of peanut butter, so I decided to make my own. My homemade version is easier on my wallet, and I know what ingredients are in it. It's also a lot tastier! —Marge Austin, North Pole, Alaska

While I have not made this recipe specifically, I have made peanut butter with dry roasted peanuts without adding anything else (using lightly salted dry roasted peanuts). My recipe is actually for chocolate peanut butter! After doing as above with lightly salted peanuts, I add a bag of semi sweet chips with the processor running until desired consistency. Let set a few hours to firm up.
